Sugar-Free Candied Almonds Recipe – Sweet and Healthy

Don’t have a slow cooker? You can make these tasty nuts in the oven; mix all ingredients together and spread over a lined cookie sheet. Bake at 120C/250F for 35-40 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.

This healthy candied almonds recipe makes 12 serves. 1 serve is approximately ¼ cup.

  • 4 cups Almonds
  • ½ cup Sukrin Gold
  • ¼ cup Swerve
  • 1 tablespoon of Cinnamon, ground
  • 1 Egg White
  • Pinch of Salt
  • 3 tablespoons of Water

How to make Sugar-Free Candied Almonds
  1. Place the almonds, sweeteners, and cinnamon in your slow cooker and set to low.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk the egg white and salt until foamy. Add to the nuts and mix well.
  3. Place some paper towels over your slow cooker before putting on the lid.
  4. Cook for 2 ½ hours, stirring every 30 minutes.
  5. Add the water, stir well, then cook for another hour. Stirring halfway through.
  6. Pour the almonds onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper to cool and dry out.
  7. Once cooled, stored in an airtight container on the counter for up to 2 weeks.

    These are great!!! I’ve made them several times. You don’t say what setting for the slow cooker. I’m assuming low. We love these!
