  • 1 small Onion, diced
  • 1in Ginger, grated
  • 1 teaspoon of Turmeric, ground
  • 1 teaspoon of Cinnamon, ground
  • ½ teaspoon of Chili Powder
  • ½ teaspoon of Cardamom, ground
  • ½ teaspoon of Cloves, ground
  • 1 cup of Coconut Cream
  • 1 pound of Raw Shrimp, peeled
  • 2 tablespoons of Cilantro, finely chopped

  1. Place a large saucepan over high heat, add the coconut oil, garlic, onion, and ginger. Saute for 5-7 minutes, until the onion turns translucent.
  2. Add the spices and saute, while stirring, for 3-4 minutes, until fragrant.
  3. Add the coconut cream and bring to a simmer before adding the shrimp.
  4. Simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the shrimp have cooked through.
  5. Remove from the heat and serve.
  6. Enjoy topped with the cilantro and with a side of Cauliflower Rice.

    • Hi Mary,

      I’m not sure what you mean by there being no curry in the recipe? This is an Indian style curry made with a blend of spices to give a different flavour, it doesn’t need curry powder, if that is what you are referring to.
