Chicken curry with spinach is a delicious North Indian dish, we’ve dropped the carbs and made our own Keto Chicken Saag Curry. It’s better than we’ve had in restaurants!

We’ve kept this delicious dish very mild. If you prefer a hot curry, add 1-2 teaspoons of chili powder at step two.

  • 3 tablespoons of Ghee
  • 3 cloves of Garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 in of Ginger, grated
  • 2 teaspoons of Cumin Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon of Turmeric, ground
  • 2 teaspoons of Garam Masala, ground
  • 1 teaspoon of Salt
  • 2 pounds of Chicken Thighs, diced
  • 2 medium Tomatoes, diced
  • 1 pound of Frozen Spinach, broken into small chunks
  • 1 cup of Heavy Cream

How to make Keto Chicken Saag Curry
  1. Place a large saucepan over high heat. Add the ghee, garlic, ginger and cumin seeds. Saute for 5-8 minutes until the onion is starting to turn translucent.
  2. Add the turmeric, garam masala and salt and saute for 3 minutes.
  3. Add the chicken thighs and stir well to coat in the spices. Saute the chicken until it is browned.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes and frozen spinach and mix through. Leave to cook for 5 minutes before adding the cream.
  5. Reduce the heat to a simmer. Simmer uncovered for 20-25 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  6. Serve immediately with a side of Cauliflower Rice.
