
This is a simple Keto Friendly recipe for Grilled Tri Tip with Herb Marinade that is great for almost any diet (unless your diet doesn’t include meat). It’s a delicious cut of meat that is quite cheap to buy too.
Every steak needs a sauce! Why not serve this tri tip with Homemade Chimi Churri (Matt’s favorite), Bearnaise Sauce (my favorite), or Mushroom Sauce (also my fave).
This Grilled Tri Tip recipe makes 4 serves. 1 serving has 1g net carbs.
Store leftover Grilled Tri Tip in the fridge for up to 3 days, or freeze for up to 3 months.
Grilled Tri Tip Ingredients

- ¼ cup of Oregano
- 2 tablespoons of Rosemary
- 2 teaspoons of Garlic Powder
- 1 teaspoon of Salt
- ½ teaspoons of Pepper, ground
- 3 tablespoons of Olive Oil
- 1 Tri Tip Roast, about 2 ½ pounds
How to Make Grilled Tri Tip

- Finely chop the oregano and rosemary and add to a small bowl, along with the garlic powder, salt, pepper and oil. Mix well.
- Rub the herb marinade over the tri tip, cover and chill for at least 3 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat your grill, leaving a section to allow for indirect heat after the tri tip is seared.
- Sear the tri tip for 2-3 minutes on each side, until nice and browned.
- Move to the section of indirect heat and cook for 10-20 minutes, until you reach an internal temperature of 62C/143F (or your preferred temperature).
- Remove from the heat, cover with foil and rest for 15 minutes.
- Slice and serve!
