Our Keto Sweet and Sour Sauce is a quick and delicious sauce recipe that can be added to stir-fries or chilled and used as a dipping sauce.

Keto Sweet and Sour Sauce

We use this delicious sauce with our Keto Sweet and Sour Pork recipe (hold tight, that recipe is coming soon!), it’s the closest thing to the Chinese takeaway without the carbs!

This Keto Sweet and Sour Sauce recipe makes just over a cup of sauce, which is equal to 18 serves. 1 serving is 1 tablespoon.

Store in the fridge for up to 1 week. The sweet and sour sauce does not freeze well.

If you want your sauce to look like the bright red one found in Chinese restaurants, just add the optional red food coloring and mix well.

Keto Sweet and Sour Sauce Ingredients

Easy Keto Sweet and Sour Sauce Recipe. It's a great sugar-free chinese stir fry sauce and also is a greaat dipping sauce. It's ideal for vegans, and can be added to chicken, fish, pork or even meatballs. This sauce recipe doesn't contain cornstarch and is gluten free.

  • ⅓ cup of Rice Wine Vinegar
  • ⅓ cup of Surkin Fiber Syrup
  • ¼ cup of Sugar-Free Tomato Sauce
  • ¼ cup of Water
  • 1 tablespoon of Tamari Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of Garlic Powder
  • ½ teaspoon of Xanthan Gum
  • ½ teaspoon of Pineapple Essence, optional
  • 2-3 drops Red Food Coloring, optional

How to Make Keto Sweet and Sour Sauce

  1. Place all the ingredients except the xanthan gum in a saucepan and place over medium heat.
  2. Sprinkle the xanthan gum into the saucepan and bring the sauce to a simmer.
  3. Simmer the sauce, whisking occasionally until it has thickened enough to coat a spoon.
  4. Remove from the heat and serve immediately or chill to use as a dipping sauce.
