This delicious cheesy cauliflower mash is a super easy side dish recipe that is ultra-low-carb, making it perfect to go with many keto meals.
We’ve topped our Low Carb Shepherd’s Pie with this tasty mash! Cauliflower Mash can be more of a wet puree, but the addition of egg yolks will help to thicken and hold it together.
This Keto Cheddar Cauliflower Mash recipe makes six servings. One serving has 4g net carbs.

Keto Cheddar Cauliflower Mash Ingredients
- 1.8 pounds (1 head) of Cauliflower cut into florets
- 3 ounces of Butter
- 3.5 ounces (1 cup) of Cheddar Cheese, shredded
- 1 teaspoon of Salt
- ½ teaspoon Pepper
How to make Keto Cheddar Cauliflower Mash
- Preheat oven to 200C/390F.
- Boil a saucepan two-thirds full of water.
- Add the cauliflower and cook for 10 minutes or until the cauliflower is tender.
- Drain the cauliflower well, then return to the saucepan.
- Add the butter. Blend the cauliflower into a puree using a stick blender.
- Add half the cheese and blend until melted and mixed through.
- Add the salt and pepper and blend again.
- Spoon into a casserole dish and top with the remaining cheddar.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, until the cheese is melted and browned.
- Serve and enjoy.
