
This delicious Keto Caramel Sauce is rich, thick and sugar-free! It’s perfect poured over Keto Ice Cream, or drizzled over a Keto Vanilla Latte.
Xylitol is toxic to dogs, do not feed your Low Carb Caramel Sauce to James Bark – International Pupper of Mystery.
Once your Keto Caramel Sauce is off the heat and cooling down, avoid “playing” with it as it will add air into it and cause it to crystallize quickly. You can fix the sauce by reheating over low heat until the crystals have melted.
I don’t recommend replacing the xylitol with erythritol or stevia – both will cause the sauce to harden quickly when cooling.
This Keto Caramel Sauce recipe makes 12 serves. 1 serving is 2 tablespoons, which has 1g net carbs.
Store your Keto Caramel Sauce in the fridge for up to 2 weeks. It is not suitable for freezing.
Keto Caramel Sauce Ingredients

- 1 cup of Xylitol
- ½ cup of Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup of Heavy Cream
How to Make Keto Caramel Sauce

- Place all the ingredients into a saucepan over medium heat.
- Once the sauce comes to a simmer, continue whisking until it has thickened and turned a light brown color. This can take 20-30 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and continue to whisk for 5 minutes.
- Pour the hot sauce into a jar.
- Enjoy warm or leave to cool before storing in the fridge – it will thicken further when chilled.
