We decided to tweak our delicious hot chocolate recipe, by giving it an added kick with some (optional) MCTs for extra energy, making it like a bulletproof hot chocolate.

We changed the ingredients slightly and added MCT powder for those wanting a little kick early or midway through the day but you can leave it out if you like.

We’ve used unsweetened Macadamia Milk for this keto hot chocolate recipe, it has a mild flavor and it’s so creamy! You can swap it out for your preferred low-carb milk (almond etc).

Keto Hot Chocolate Ingredients

  • 3 cups of unsweetened Macadamia Milk
  • 1 cup of Heavy Cream
  • 1 x 3.5-ounce block of Lindt 90% Cocoa, broken up
  • ⅓ cup of Swerve
  • 2 scoops MCT powder (leave it out if before bed as it will give you energy)
  • 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Essence

This Keto hot chocolate recipe makes 4 serves. 1 serving is 1 cup.

How to Make Keto Hot Chocolate

  1. Place all the ingredients into a medium-sized saucepan. Stir gently.
  2. Cook on low for 15-20 minutes, stirring every 5 min to prevent the chocolate from sticking to the edges of the saucepan.
  3. After cooking, stir well before pouring into glasses and serving.
  4. Optional: top with keto whipped cream and chocolate shavings.

Any leftover keto hot chocolate can be stored in the fridge for up to 1 week, and reheated in the microwave or on the stovetop.

  • 3.5 ounces lindt 90% cocoa chocolate broken up
  • 1/3 cup swerve
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • 2 scoops Perfect Keto MCT powder (Optional - leave out if before bed)
