Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons of Olive Oil
- 1 small Onion, diced
- 3 cloves of Garlic, crushed
- 2 small Red Chili’s, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon of Chili Powder
- 1 teaspoon of Salt
- 2 pounds of Ground Beef
- 2 tablespoons of Tomato Paste
- 1 tablespoon of Paprika
- 1 tablespoon of Cumin, ground
- 1 tablespoon of Coriander, ground
- 1 pound of Canned Diced Tomatoes
- ½ teaspoon of Pepper
If you like your keto chili hot, it can be made hotter with your favorite hot ingredients, so feel free to experiment. Alternatively, if you like your chili milder, you can leave the chili out altogether if you wish.
How To Make Keto Chili Con Carne
- Place a large saucepan over high heat.
- Add the oil, onion, garlic, and chopped chilies and saute for 3-5 minutes until the onion is translucent.
- Add the chili powder and salt and stir well.
- Add the ground beef. Stir continuously to break apart the meat, saute for 10 minutes until the beef is well browned.
- Add the tomato paste, paprika, cumin, coriander, and pepper, and stir well.
- Cook for 5 minutes before adding the canned diced tomatoes. Mix well.
- Reduce the heat to a low simmer and cook uncovered for 20-30 minutes. If you prefer your chili a little more “soupy,” add a cup of beef stock.
- Taste your chili and add additional salt and pepper if desired.
- Serve immediately, or cool and store in the fridge or freezer.
How To Store Keto Chili
Store Keto Chili in the fridge for up to 1 week in an airtight container, or freeze for up to 3 months.
Keto Chili can be reheated in a saucepan or microwave.

Is Chili Con Carne Low-Carb & Keto Friendly?
The traditional way of making chili con carne is not low-carb or keto-friendly, but keto chili con carne is. Normally, chili con carne contains kidney beans, rice, and sugar.
None of those ingredients is low carb, but as you can see in our recipe above, we make ours a little differently to make it perfect for your Keto diet.
